General Defense

Margaret's defensive options are rather poor with her slower ground buttons, lack of jump cancellable buttons on block, and a slow DP that is fatal recovery. Your main metered reversal (Power Slash) is excellent but it can be rolled, leaving you open for a punish. You should practice escaping other character's strings and getting your advantage back. Instant Blocking and Option Selects can help with this.

Universal Defensive Options

  • Ultra Suplex (DP)

    • Grab DP that is techable and has Fatal Recovery. Use sparingly.

    • Can be used to enter awakening when opponent is distracted

  • Guard Cancel Attack/Roll

    • Universal mechanic. Margaret's GC Attack is poor and has little use for costing 50 meter.

    • GC Roll can be used to escape in certain situations. Also costs 50 meter.
